Watch: Further footage during the Royal Challengers Bangalore-Lucknow Super Giants game showed Virat Kohli and Naveen-ul-Haq involved in a heated mid-pitch discussion, with Kohli making an apparent ‘dirt on shoe’ gesture.

The focus has been on the clash between Kohli, Naveen and Gautam Gambhir after the conclusion of the match, but tensions boiled over at several points before then as well.
Notably, Amit Mishra and the umpires had to intervene as Kohli and Naveen faced off towards the end of the LSG innings. As the umpire tried to move Kohli away, he raised his foot and appeared to pick something off the sole of his shoe. He then gestured to Naveen while moving his foot, in a manner that has been interpreted as him suggesting Naveen is the ‘dirt beneath his shoe’.
Kohli, Naveen and Gambhir were all fined for their roles in the altercation, with Kohli and Naveen both posting cryptic messages on social media following the game.
