Watch: Deepak Hooda latched onto a crucial match-winning grab of Dhruv Jurel inches away from the boundary rope to all but seal the game for Lucknow Super Giants against Rajasthan Royals today (April 19).

Set a target of 155 for a win, RR got off to a steady start, scoring 87-0 in 11.2 overs. However, the dismissal of openers Yashasvi Jaiswal (44 in 35) and Jos Buttler (40 in 41) started a mini-collapse, with the team crumbling to 104-4 in the next four overs.

The equation reduced to 19 to win off the last over sent down by Avesh Khan, with Riyan Parag and Devdutt Padikkal at the crease. The first ball was dispatched over point for a boundary by Parag, with the next delivery going for one leg-bye. Avesh dismissed Padikkal on the third ball of the over and had two in two when he also got new batter Jurel when 14 was needed off the last three deliveries.

The youngster, who had made waves with his big-hitting skills earlier this season, latched onto the slot ball and went for a big heave towards long-on. What seemed like a certain six, however, ended up being a catch as Hooda, managed to keep his calm, took a few steps back towards the boundary rope, timed his jump to perfection and managed to hold on one step away from the advertisement banner.

RR went on to lose the game by ten runs, with LSG registering their fourth win of the tournament.
