Watch: Arjun Tendulkar, playing his second IPL game, bowled a tidy 20th over, picking up his maiden IPL wicket to seal Mumbai Indians’ third win on the trot, against Sunrisers Hyderabad.
Tendulkar, sharing the new ball with fellow left-armer Jason Behrendorff, was called on to bowl the 20th over by Rohit Sharma. At that point, SRH needed 20 runs, with Abdul Samad and Bhuvneshwar Kumar in the middle.
Tendulkar kept bowling yorkers: off the second ball, Samad was run out, trying to return for a second after slicing a low full-toss. Off the third ball, he sent down a wide, but fixed his radar soon, giving away just three runs off the next two balls.
Off the fifth ball, Bhuvneshwar Kumar chipped one to Rohit Sharma at cover, giving the junior Tendulkar his first IPL wicket. It also sealed the game for MI – SRH ended on 178, falling short by 14 runs. It was the first IPL wicket in the Tendulkar family – Sachin never picked one in his 78-match career.
This was Mumbai Indians’ third win in a row, having lost the first two matches.
