RR vs PBKS: Team news for today’s IPL 2023 match
Rajasthan Royals put on a comprehensive display in their opening game against Sunrisers Hyderabad. At this point, there is no confirmed update on Obed McCoy’s injury so far, but apart from him, all other players are available for selection.
Liam Livingstone, meanwhile, has not joined the Punjab Kings camp yet, so they will have to play a second straight game without the star middle-order batter. On the positive side, Kagiso Rabada has returned and will be available for selection and will replace Nathan Ellis in all likelihood. If the Guwahati surface is seamer-friendly, the Punjab think tank might bring in Rabada for Sikandar Raza.

RR vs PBKS: Prediction for today’s match 8 of IPL 2023
Rajasthan were the only team to win an away game in the first round of fixtures in IPL 2023. They have a settled starting XI as well as one of the most destructive top orders in the tournament. Couple that with champion bowlers like Trent Boult, Yuzvendra Chahal, and R Ashwin, and you get a formidable core.
Punjab put up a solid performance in their first game as well and will be further strengthened by the arrival of Rabada. But their middle order is still thin in the absence of Livingstone, with all batters after Bhanuka Rajapaksa primarily being finishers. A few quick wickets at the top and they might find it difficult to rebuild.
