LSG vs CSK and PBKS vs MI: IPL 2023 team news
Lucknow have now suffered three consecutive defeats at home, the last two in low run-chases. To add to their woes, captain KL Rahul injured his hip flexor while chasing a ball in their last game against the Royal Challengers Bangalore; and Jaydev Unadkat fell while bowling in the nets, injuring his left shoulder. Neither will be available for this game – and perhaps for the rest of the season.
LSG will have to look towards Manan Vohra to fill in for Rahul. They may also look at it as an opportunity to get Quinton de Kock in the XI. For that, they may leave out Marcus Stoinis, or replace Naveen-ul-Haq with an Indian seamer like Avesh Khan or Yudhvir Singh Charak.
Chennai are also coming into this game on the back of two consecutive defeats. They rarely change their teams and one can expect them to go in with the same XI again. If anything, they may consider bringing in Rajvardhan Hangargekar for Tushar Deshpande, who, despite taking wickets, has gone for more than 11 an over.
Punjab have had a topsy-turvy season with no streak of wins or losses being longer than two games. With Shikhar Dhawan and Liam Livingstone both available, they seem to have settled into a stable combination. They may consider replacing Harpreet Brar, who did not get to bowl in the last match, with a seamer if the conditions dictate them to.
Mumbai, like Punjab, have had a stop-start season, but seem to have gathered momentum after they chased a big total against Rajasthan. Their strong middle order has started to deliver now. All they need is some fluency at the top, and for Jofra Archer to return to his best rhythm.

LSG v CSK and PBKS v MI: IPL prediction for today’s match 45 and 46
Chennai will start as favourites in the first game as Lucknow have struggled at the Ekana Stadium and Chennai generally relish those conditions. The Punjab-Mumbai game is an even contest on paper with both teams coming off the back of record run-chases. However, Punjab’s home advantage should give them a slight edge.
