LSG v MI: IPL 2023 team news
Both teams have lost multiple players due to injury over the course of IPL 2023, but have all players available.
Lucknow have used Krishnappa Gowtham and Amit Mishra alternately based on matchups and conditions. They played Gowtham in the last game, but may be tempted to play Mishra tonight. Mishra has a good record in Chennai, and has troubled Mumbai captain Rohit Sharma a lot in the IPL.
They may also consider bringing Kyle Mayers, who had scored a blistering half-century when LSG last played here, for Naveen-ul-Haq, and an Indian fast bowler for Karan Sharma. Alternately, they may replace Quinton de Kock, who averages under 11 and strikes at less than 100 from seven games in Chennai, with Mayers.
Tilak Varma was in the Impact Players’ list in the last game, which means he is almost certainly fit enough to play. Mumbai may also look to make a tactical change by bringing in Hrithik Shokeen, the off-spinner, in place of Kumar Kartikeya, given Lucknow have several left-handed batters in their top six.

Lucknow and Mumbai are both coming off wins in their last league games, but they had lost their respective matches against Chennai at this venue. However, Lucknow have won all three matches against in their brief two-year IPL stint.
Mumbai have banked a lot on their batters, while Lucknow have been the more well-rounded side. Lucknow will start off as slight favourites.
