KKR vs GT and DC vs SRH: IPL 2023 team news
Gujarat are third on the points table, but they have 10 points – the same as Rajasthan Royals (first), Lucknow Super Giants (second), and Chennai Super Kings (fourth), all of whom have played a match more. With six points, Kolkata languish at seventh place.
Kolkata will be without Litton Das, who left to attend a family emergency. But that is unlikely to impact Kolkata’s strategy, who seem to have found a reasonable opening pair in Jason Roy and N Jagadeesan.
What will be a worry is Sunil Narine’s form: the man who has never conceded eight runs an over in an IPL season has gone for 8.90 in 2023.
With four points each from seven matches, Hyderabad (-0.725) and Delhi (-0.961) are only separated by net run rate at the bottom of the points table. To add to that, Hyderabad have just lost Washington Sundar for the entire season when he just showed signs of finding form.
Delhi will take some hope from their last win, in Hyderabad, their second on the trot after five consecutive defeats. They will also be playing at home. Hyderabad, on the other hand, have lost three matches on the trot.
