GT vs MI: IPL 2023 team news
The big news from Mumbai Indians’ fixture at the weekend was that Jofra Archer is back and bowling again for the franchise. The England pacer took 1-42 against Punjab Kings in a high scoring match on Saturday. However, Mumbai lost that fixture after Punjab piled on 214 runs, and may subsequently look to adjust their bowling attack for today’s match.
Jason Behrendorff and Arjun Tendulkar were both Mumbai’s most expensive bowlers last time out. The options to replace them are most likely Arshad Khan and Riley Meredith respectively. Nehal Madhera has been typically used as their impact player, subbed in/out as a middle order batter for one of the seamers.
Gujarat Titans also last played on Saturday but were on the right side of the result after pulling off a memorable comeback against Lucknow Super Giants. They took four wickets in as many balls in the last over of the fixture, including two run outs to thwart KL Rahul’s side. Gujarat are currently blessed with no injury concerns and have a full squad of players to choose from.
Shubman Gill has been the player to make way for the impact player in the last couple of matches, with Jayant yadav coming into the side on Saturday as a specialist bowler.

GT v MI: IPL prediction for today’s match 35
Gujarat Titans have the form and are currently ranked higher in the table, fourth compared to Mumbai Indians in seventh. While Mumbai are definitely boosted by the return of Jofra Archer and Suryakumar Yadav was back in the runs at the weekend, Gujarat’s dependable batting order and pre-match form just put their noses in front as the favourites. But it’s close.
