CSK v MI and DC v RCB: IPL 2023 team news
CSK are not expected to tinker with their line-up too much. Ben Stokes is getting closer to attaining full fitness but there have not been many indications that he will feature against MI. Deepak Chahar, who played and bowled in the powerplay against Lucknow Super Giants, meanwhile, is expected to retain his place.
MI, like CSK, do not have many reasons to tweak their combination. If the pitch assists spin, they could go in with the extra spinner. Jofra Archer has now played two games in succession and could be the only change, if MI opt to rest him.
RCB, meanwhile, seem to have stumbled upon a winning formula, especially away from home. They do not have any new injury concerns either, with Josh Hazlewood also back in the mix. Faf du Plessis captained them in the previous game and unless something has changed dramatically, expect that to continue against DC.
Speaking of DC, they could be tempted to bring in Prithvi Shaw, considering the other Indian batters have not set IPL 2023 alight either. That, though, would mean a rejigging of the top order, with Phil Salt having to drop down. Mitchell Marsh, who missed their last game due to illness, could also return if he has recovered sufficiently. Anrich Nortje has unfortunately had to fly back to South Africa due to a personal emergence and will not be available for the match against RCB.

CSK v MI and DC v RCB: Today’s IPL 2023 match prediction
CSK have historically been very strong at Chepauk. One team they have not enjoyed playing against at that venue is MI, who have won on their last six games at Chepauk against CSK. MI have also won back-to-back games while CSK are winless in their last three. It will not be a surprise, thus, if MI trump CSK at Chepauk.
RCB start as favourites, despite DC winning their last fixture against Gujarat Titans. Faf du Plessis’ men look more balanced on paper and could propel themselves into the top four with a win on Saturday.
