Gujarat Titans are part of the IPL only for the second time. In both seasons, they topped the points table with 10 wins in 14 matches, and have made it to the final. This time they will be facing four-time winner Chennai Super Kings, who are playing a record 10th IPL final.
Being the defending champions has enabled Gujarat to get hosting rights, at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
The final was originally scheduled for Sunday (May 28), but a full washout resulted in a rescheduled final on Monday (May 29). For a 20-over contest, the match needs to start at 9.35 PM, while for any cricket to happen, the first ball needs to be bowled by 12.06 AM on Tuesday (May 30).
