Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers had given Royal Challengers Bangalore a decent total batting first but the game went down to the wire with contributions from MS Dhoni and Ravindra Jadeja.
With 16 needed off the last over, RCB seemed to have the game in their hands, but Jadeja turned the game on its head with a four and a six off the first two balls in the over bowled by RP Singh.
Four runs off the next three balls brought the equation down to two needed off one ball. Off the final delivery, RP Singh had Jadeja caught out at deep third man to spark off celebrations in the RCB camp. But the umpire had already lifted his arm to signal a no-ball with RP Singh overstepping by a large margin, helping CSK steal the game from right under RCB’s noses.
Jadeja remains a part of the CSK franchise for IPL 2021 while RP Singh announced his retirement from all cricket in 2018.
