Watch: Royal Challengers Bangalore and Rajasthan Royals’ IPL encounter on Thursday got off to a comical start at the toss.
Rajasthan skipper Sanju Samson called tails as RCB’s Virat Kohli flipped the coin, and while heads won out, it was Samson instead of Kohli who initially stepped forward to speak to Ian Bishop, the commentator on the field.
It took a few moments for Kohli to realise that he’d won the toss, after which he said: “I’m not used to winning tosses.”
Kohli opted to bowl first and it certainly looked a good call, with Rajasthan losing three wickets inside the first five overs of their innings.
