The catch led to an important dismissal for PBKS, with the DC skipper Rishabh Pant falling for 15. While the chase was almost in the bag by then, the wicket gave PBKS a slight chance with two new batsmen at the crease.
The incident took place in the 18th over of the innings, which was bowled by Jhye Richardson. Pant mistimed a slower ball from the Australian seamer and holed out to long on.

While it should have been a straightforward catch for Hooda, he made quite a meal of it. He stumbled and slipped around it, but did just about enough to hold on to the ball.
At the end of it all, Hooda was visibly relieved and even let a nervous laugh slip through.
