Batting at No.3, he took the initiative even as skipper Rohit Sharma played second fiddle, hitting seven fours and two sixes during his stay.
The second six of the innings, which brought up his fifty, was arguably the shot of the tournament thus far, as the 30-year-old nonchalantly picked a length ball from Cummins, bringing out a big, helicopter swing to whip it well over the square leg boundary ropes.
