Watch: Rishabh Pant lightened up the atmosphere in Qualifier 2 of the 2021 IPL, when he ‘pranked’ Indian umpire Anil Chaudhary.
The Delhi Capitals-Kolkata Knight Riders match was a rollercoaster ride. It saw KKR control 90 per cent of the action, before slipping up in the final overs and nearly gifting the game to DC. However, the game saw a funny moment when DC skipper Rishabh Pant let out his inner playful child, and played a light-hearted prank on the reserve umpire.
This happened when the reserve umpire brought out a box of cricket balls which were being inspected by DC bowler Ravichandran Ashwin. Pant walked in from behind, tapped on Anil Chaudhary’s right arm, and then surreptitiously slipped to the left. The umpire looked to his right, and was surprised to find no one there. Then he turned to his left, only for Pant to greet him, and both of them shared a laugh.
