Watch: Mustafizur Rahman was in the news with an acrobatic save on the boundary rope during his IPL team Rajasthan Royals’ match against Royal Challengers Bangalore on Wednesday.
The Bangladesh player pulled off a stunning fielding effort on the fifth ball in the ninth over of the RCB innings. Kartik Tyagi’s bouncer was pulled by Glenn Maxwell, and it seemed that the ball would sail over the fence but Mustafizur, who was stationed in the deep, timed his jump to perfection to save six. The fast bowler leaped up and threw the ball back with his left hand to save five runs for his team, an effort that was applauded by players of both sides.
RCB chased down the target of 150 with ease, with Maxwell’s unbeaten 50 off 30 balls taking them home with 17 balls to spare. RCB are now on 14 points from 11 games, while RR have eight points thus far.
