Dhoni, the eighth-highest run-scorer in the history of the IPL, looks in fine form in the build-up to the 2021 edition. The CSK skipper looked excellent in the nets, playing a range of shots with power and timing.
Dhoni was also seen using his feet to dance down the track and smack it big on a couple of instances.
Dhoni didn’t have a great season with the bat last year, scoring just 200 runs in 12 innings at an average of 25. His form reflected in CSK’s performance, as they finished out of the playoff spots for the first time in IPL history.
Dhoni will be keen to get both his batting and CSK’s performances to fit the high standards they’ve set for themselves. He seems to be off to a great start.
