Sunrisers Hyderabad seemed well on course for a first win in Chepauk in six attempts when Jonny Bairstow produced a stunning cameo at the top of the order.
The loss of Bairstow followed by Manish Pandey soon after raised doubts about another collapse in the second innings. It soon became a reality as Virat Singh tapped one to the off-side and took off for a quick single. Hardik’s throw was bang on target and caught the Sunrisers captain David Warner just short.

Later in the run chase, Abdul Samad was at the receiving end of another brilliant effort from Hardik. The Mumbai Indians fielder had one stump to aim at when Samad took off for a quick single. He hit the target again to catch the batsman short. Hardik and his two direct hits played a part in Mumbai’s come-from-behind win on Saturday.
