Taking the gloves for the first time this season with Wriddhiman Saha not in the Sunrisers XI, Bairstow showed little rustiness in the 17th over when Ishan Kishan shaped up to sweep off the bowling of Mujeeb Ur Rahman.
With the ball going towards the leg-side, Bairstow moved sharply to his right to take the catch and send Kishan on his way for 12.
Bairstow later showed off his skills with the bat too, blitzing his way to 43 off just 22 balls during Sunrisers’ chase.
