Maxwell played a crucial knock against Hyderabad on Wednesday. The Australian carried his side’s innings, taking Bangalore to 149-8 with his 41-ball 59. The right-hander, who didn’t register a six in the entirety of his IPL 2020 campaign, already has five big hits to his name in this edition.
Additionally, Maxwell has also slapped eight fours in two innings at the tournament so far. The best of those shots came in the form of a reverse scoop against Natarajan on Wednesday. A shot that marked his return to form in the IPL, it looked quick, precise and perfect.
It was hits like this from Maxwell that helped RCB get to a decent total, despite losing wickets regularly in the last few overs.
