In his final game in the Indian Premier League, the Australia legend picked up the ball to deliver the final over of the game for Kings XI Punjab. Fast bowler Praveen Kumar took the gloves. It was a fun decision, considering Mumbai Indians had already lost the game, requiring 51 runs from the 20th over.

He picked up a wicket on the very first ball, as Harbhajan Singh holed out to long on. The usually composed Gilchrist went wild with his celebrations, running across the pitch and ending his celebrations with the ‘Gangnam style‘ dance.

Since it was the only delivery he bowled in his professional T20 career, Gilchrist ended with a T20 strike-rate of 1 and average of 0 with the ball.
