After their loss against RR in a low-scoring game, DC have cruised to two six-wicket wins against PBKS and MI, with their top order firing more often than not. The bowlers, too, have largely clicked as a unit, barring the Punjab game where they leaked runs aplenty at the death.
SRH redeemed themselves with a win against Punjab after three straight losses to start with, with the inclusion of Kane Williamson lending much-needed stability to their batting order. With T Natarajan’s exit, the team has lost an able Indian bowler, but has enough depth in their bowling resources to fill the void.
Head to head record
Overall: DC 7 – 11 SRH
Since 2018: DC 3 – 5 SRH
SRH DC Dream11 fantasy tips
- David Warner and Kane Williamson are safe bets, while Prithvi Shaw can be one of the picks from Delhi’s top order. Shaw didn’t fire in his last game, but is a better choice among the two DC openers as Dhawan’s due a failure after a stellar run so far, and could be tested upfront by his former side’s bowlers.
- Among all-rounders, Abhishek Sharma and Lalit Yadav are two options that don’t cost a lot, and have shown lot of promise so far. Lalit batted at No.4 in one of the games, and can get ample time to put on a power-hitting show, while Abhishek opened the bowling in the previous game, returning with neat figures of 2-24.
- Among wicketkeepers, both Jonny Bairstow and Rishabh Pant can be equally dominating on their day, and can both be included in the XI. Bairstow is a good captaincy option too, given the extra points he can collect in the powerplay, and has scores of 48, 41 and 53 so far against Delhi.
- Rashid Khan and Kagiso Rabada are must-haves, given the damage they can cause in the middle overs and at the death respectively. Rashid could target DC middle order, which hasn’t really been called into action yet, while Rabada could stifle SRH at the death, given their own inconsistent middle order. In the final game of the season at Chepauk, Rashid as captain will be a good bet.
