In the first two weeks of the 2020 IPL, we’ve been treated to some moments of pure brilliance in the field.
The general quality of fielding has consistently improved year-on-year and that upward trajectory hasn’t changed in 2020. Earlier in the competition, Nicholas Pooran produced a piece of skill that had some commentators suggesting that it could be the most impressive piece of fielding in the game’s history.
Today, in Sunrisers Hyderabad’s clash against Mumbai Indians at Sharjah, Manish Pandey was responsible for arguably the catch of the tournament so far. Sprinting to his right from long-on, Pandey dived at full length just as the ball was dying on him to take the catch and dismiss the dangerous Ishan Kishan.
