Watch: Only some rapid evasive action from India all-rounder Hardik Pandya averted a serious blow after Jofra Archer bowled a 95mph beamer in the Indian Premier League (IPL 2020) clash between Mumbai Indians and Rajasthan Royals.
Pandya ended up on the floor nonetheless, swiftly diving out of the way of the high full toss, with the ball evading wicketkeeper Jos Buttler too and going away for five no balls. Archer held his hands up straight away, and after dusting himself off, Pandya was ready to face the next ball.
That was the first ball of the 19th over, and the rest of the over was just as eventful. Archer hit Suryakumar Yadav on the head with a knuckle-ball bouncer with the fourth ball of the over, but after passing a concussion test, the 30-year-old struck back in stunning style, lapping Archer wide of the keeper for six.
