Updated WTC points table

India have been whitewashed by New Zealand 3-0 in a home Test series following their close defeat by 25 runs in Mumbai - Here are the updated WTC standings after the historic result.

New Zealand bowled India out for 121 in the fourth innings on the third afternoon of the Mumbai Test, winning by 25 runs while defending a low total of 146. With this, India succumbed to their first-ever home Test series whitewash in a series of more than two games.

With the defeat, India have lost out on the top spot of the WTC points table, which they had held coming into the series. Their points percentage (PCT) has slipped from 62.82 to 58.33, moving below Australia, who are now seated at the top with a PCT of 62.5.

New Zealand, meanwhile, have jumped from fifth to fourth, with their PCT going from 50 to 54.54, very slightly above South Africa's 54.17, and just below Sri Lanka's 55.546.

This result has now created a logjam in the middle of the table, with India (2nd), Sri Lanka (3rd), New Zealand (4th), and South Africa (5th) seperated by less than 4.5 PCT.
