The India-New Zealand Test series begins on October 16 and here’s where you can watch the IND vs NZ 2024 matches live.
India take on New Zealand in a three-match series, their last Test outing before the high-profile tour of Australia next month. Currently on top of the 2023-25 World Test Championship table, India will look to consolidate their position and continue their winning streak at home, which has now extended to 18 series wins on the trot.
India’s XI for the first Test in Bengaluru is unlikely to have any surprises from the side that played against Bangladesh in Kanpur. However, reports suggest that Shubman Gill has a stiff neck, which could rule him out, with Sarfaraz Khan slotting in.
For the visitors, Kane Williamson will be a big miss for the first game. The former skipper has a groin strain, sustained during the second Sri Lanka Test. He has not travelled with the team to India.
The Black Caps will also have a new skipper after Tim Southee resigned from the role ahead of the series. Tom Latham, who led the side the last time New Zealand played a Test series in India in 2021, will captain the team.
The match could, however, be affected by rain with heavy showers predicted for the first two days of the Test. Light rain is predicted on day three, with the skies expected to clear out on the weekend.
However, Bengaluru has excellent drainage facilities and if rain relents, there are unlikely to be prolonged delays.
