The playing area is seen covered with tarpaulin as rain delays the start of day one of the First Test match between India and New Zealand at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium on October 16, 2024 in Bengaluru, India

The first day of the Bengaluru Test between India and New Zealand was washed out completely due to incessant rainfall. Here is the IND vs NZ weather forecast for day two of the match.

Rain played spoilsport on the opening day of the series as play was called off at 2:30 pm local time without a ball being bowled. The toss which is yet to happen, will now take place at 8:45 am on day two (October 17), with the first session starting from 9:15 am local time. 15 minutes have been added to the first and second sessions, with 98 overs to be bowled for the entire day.

However, the weather doesn’t look promising, as more rain is predicted on the second day. Earlier on Tuesday, inclement weather resulted in the practice sessions being cancelled as well.
