The Indian opener has begun the year in sensational fashion. After scoring a quick-fire 41 and 73 runs in the first two ODIs, Mandhana brought up an excellent century in the third match against Ireland in Rajkot.

She took just 70 balls to complete her century and went on to score 135 off 80 deliveries before returning to the dugout. It was the 10th ODI century of her career and Mandhana is now tied with England’s Tammy Beaumont at third in the list of women with the most ODI centuries.

Former Australia captain Meg Lanning leads the list with 15 tons in 103 matches while Suzie Bates of New Zealand is in second place. The 37-year-old has 13 centuries in 168 games.

There are three batters on nine centuries each who are joint-fifth on the list. It includes Nat Sciver-Brunt and Charlotte Brunt of England and Chamari Athapaththu of Sri Lanka.

Besides Mandhana, no Indian batter has scored more than seven centuries. Former Indian captain Mithali Raj has seven tons in women’s ODIs while current captain Harmanpreet Kaur is just below her with six centuries to her name.

Smriti Mandhana also recently became the third-fastest player to reach 4000 runs in women's ODIs. She reached that milestone in the first ODI against Ireland, which was the 95th inning of her career.

Australia's Belinda Clark leads that list after taking only 86 innings to get to the mark while Lanning is in second place after scoring 4000 runs in 89 innings.
