Watch: Shreyas Iyer hit back-to-back sixes off Jofra Archer to kick-start a blistering knock against England in the opening match of the ODI series.
Iyer's attack to Archer was the start of a first half-century in over a year in the format for him, having been out of the team for a while. He hit 59 off 35 before he was trapped lbw by Jacob Bethell. India bowled England out for 248 after they were asked to field, with Harshit Rana and Ravindra Jadeja both taking three wickets.

Having come to the crease early in India's innings after Rohit Sharma was out caught on the leg side in the sixth over of the chase, Iyer got off the mark by picking up two through cover off his second ball. He clipped Saqib Mahmood down to fine leg for a four off the third ball he faced.
In the next over, Iyer faced up to Archer, who had conceded just two runs and taken the wicket of debutant Yashasvi Jaiswal in his spell to that point. Gill faced Archer's first two legal deliveries of the over before getting off strike with a single through cover. Iyer faced two dot balls from the quick right-armer before cutting loose.
He carved into a shorter ball from Archer, heaving it over the deep midwicket boundary for six - the first of India's innings. As Archer ran in again to deliver the final ball of his over, Iyer leaned back to go behind square on the off side, slashing his bat at around shoulder height to loft the ball between deep backward point and third man.
Those two shots were the first of an aggressive innings from Iyer. He picked up another boundary in the next over off Saqib Mahmood and hit three fours in one over off Brydon Carse. Before he was dismissed by Bethell, he reached his 50 off 30 balls and hit 11 boundaries in total in his innings.
