Mohammed Shami has been named in the XI, marking his comeback in India colours after 14 months, having last played international cricket in the 2023 World Cup final.
"Shami is fit, but the decision to play him depends on how the team management plans to build his workload," India batting coach Shitanshu Kotak had said before the game. The right-arm seamer is replacing Arshdeep Singh in the XI, who is being rested. The rest of the lineup is the same.
India's probable XI: Sanju Samson (wk), Abhishek Sharma, Suryakumar Yadav (c), Tilak Varma, Hardik Pandya, Dhruv Jurel, Washington Sundar, Axar Patel, Ravi Bishnoi, Mohammed Shami, Varun Chakravarthy.

India vs England, 3rd T20I: Who will win?
After India steamrolled England in the series opener, the tourists had a sniff in the second match, having put India in a spot of bother. However, Tilak Varma’s timely 55-ball 72 not out saved the day for the home side, giving them a 2-0 lead.
So far, England’s batting has misfired, with Jos Buttler being their only inform batter. Despite the middling outings, the tourists have a chance to turn things around on the batting-friendly Rajkot wicket: the average first-innings total in five T20Is at the venue is 189.
Still, India’s spinners give them a clear edge but don’t be surprised if England rise to the occasion given the series is on the line.
