Ravindra Jadeja has climbed up to second on the all-time list of highest wicket-takers in men's ODI cricket in India.
Jadeja, who made his ODI debut 16 years back in 2009, took the field for the 199th time in the format during the second India vs England ODI in Cuttack today (February 9).
India were put into field after losing the toss. Following a brisk start by the England openers, India spinners pulled things back. Varun Chakravarthy, the second-oldest Indian ODI debutant, was the first spinner given a go, before Jadeja was introduced in the attack in the 16th over.
The left-arm spinner stuck in his very first over, getting Ben Duckett to miscue a slog sweep down the throat of long on. He kept things tight in his first spell of six overs, giving 20 runs for one wicket, including bowling a maiden over. Jadeja returned for his second spell in the 34th over of the innings where he bowled two overs for 10 runs. His third spell came at the death, between overs 43-45, where he took the wickets of Joe Root and Jamie Overton, both caught in the off-side, to finish his spell with figures of 10-1-35-3.
England finished their innings bowled out for 304 in 49.4 overs, with Joe Root (69 off 72) top-scoring for the visitors.

Jadeja moves past Harbhajan Singh
Jadeja entered the game sitting on 114 ODI wickets in India, joint-second with Harbhajan Singh. With his three-wicket haul today, he moved past the former India off-spinner and is now trailing Anil Kumble, who sits at the top of the pile with 126 wickets from 90 matches.
Jadeja's curent record in India reads 117 wickets from 81 games at an average of 29.52 and an economy rate of 4.79, with three four-wicket hauls and one five-wicket haul.
Ajit Agarkar, India's current chief selector, is fourth on the list with 109 wickets from 69 games. Among fast bowlers, he is at the top in terms of ODI wickets in India.

Overall, Jadeja has taken 226 wickets from 199 ODIs at 35.38, conceding at 4.86 runs per over. England have been his most favoured opponents, as he has taken 45 wickets against them at 22.51, his best average against any team (minimum five games played).
With the bat, Jadeja has 2,768 runs from 133 innings at 32.56 with a strike rate of 85.16 at the time of writing.
