IND vs ENG ODI Squads

India will take further confidence with the return of established faces in their line up. Virat Kohli seeks to leave his red ball woes behind as he is introduced into the team following the IT20 series, but more giants are set to return to the white ball squad. Rohit Sharma, Shreyas Iyer, Shubman Gill, KL Rahul, Kuldeep Yadav, Jasprit Bumrah, Yashavi Jaiswal, Rishabh Pant and Ravindra Jadeja all come into the ODI series to make up a senior squad moving on from the IT20 series.

India: Rohit Sharma (c), Shubman Gill (vc), Virat Kohli, Shreyas Iyer, KL Rahul (wk), Hardik Pandya, Axar Patel, Washington Sundar, Kuldeep Yadav, Jasprit Bumrah*, Arshdeep Singh, Mohammad Shami, Yashavi Jaiswal, Rishabh Pant (wk), Ravindra Jadeja.

On the flipside, England make only the one change from their 4-1 series defeat, with Root a much welcome sight for the team after his fine stint in the SA20. The Yorkshireman played eight times for the Paarl Royals and heads to India in hot white ball form. He hit 279 runs with an average of 55.80 and a strike rate of just over 140, but also proved to be handy with the ball as he claimed five wickets and bowled at a relatively economical rate of 7.00.

England: Jos Buttler (c), Jofra Archer, Gus Atkinson, Jacob Bethell, Harry Brook, Brydon Carse, Ben Duckett, Jamie Overton, Jamie Smith (wk), Liam Livingstone, Adil Rashid, Joe Root, Saqib Mahmood, Phil Salt (wk), Mark Wood.
