Virat Kohli was dismissed by Adil Rashid for a record 11th time in international cricket during the third ODI between India and England.
After scoring a much-needed half-century, Virat Kohli fell to Adil Rashid once again. By dismissing the former Indian skipper twice in this series, the wrist-spinner equalled a record of getting Kohli out the most number of times in international cricket.
Across different formats, Kohli has been dismissed a record number of 11 times by Josh Hazlewood, Tim Southee, and Rashid. After the trio, there are three more English players on the list, with Moeen Ali and James Anderson dismissing the 36-year old batter 10 times each. Kagiso Rabada and Ben Stokes have dismissed Kohli him nine times each.

Kohli’s well-documented struggles against spin
Since the end of the 2023 ICC Cricket World Cup, Kohli has been dismissed four times by wrist-spinners in five ODIs showing a significant problem the batter is having while facing the balls which are going away from his body. In the last ODI as well, Kohli was sent back by a Rashid special.
In ODIs, Kohli has been dismissed the most by Southee (7) and Ravi Rampaul (6) followed by the spin troika of Shakib Al Hasan, Adam Zampa, and Rashid with five dismissals each.
Kohli averages 22.40 against Rashid at a strike rate of 86.15 and was dealing with the spinner pretty well in the third ODI in Ahmedabad, scoring his 73rd ODI half-century, and targetting part-time spinners Joe Root and Liam Livingstone but ultimately fell to the best spin bowler in the opposition lineup.
