Jadeja, who needed one wicket to the milestone of 300 Test wickets before the ongoing Test, got to the feat after he dismissed Bangladesh’s No.11 for no run on day four of the Test. Bowling the 75th over, Jadeja tossed up the second ball on the middle and leg, which the batter played across the line. He only managed a leading edge back to the bowler, who claimed an easy catch to get to the milestone of 300 wickets in his 74th Test.

With the landmark, the all-rounder became one of 11 all-rounders with 3,000 Test runs and 300 wickets. He is also the third Indian to the feat, behind Kapil Dev and Ravichandran Ashwin.

Jadeja is also the second-fastest to the double, behind Ian Botham, who needed 72 Tests to score 3,000 Test runs and take his 300th scalp.

Jadeja's Test career so far

Jadeja has emerged as one of the greatest all-rounders from the country with a bowling average of 24. He has picked up 13 five-wicket hauls in 139 innings thus far and has the fourth-most wickets among all spinners.

Jadeja has also made 3,122 runs at an average of 36.72 with four hundreds. It is the second-best batting average among all all-rounders who have made 3,000 Test runs and taken 300 scalps, behind only Imran Khan (batting average of 37.69).

Overall, Jadeja's batting-bowling average difference of 12.72 is the second-best among the other all-rounders in the list.
