Sanju Samson hit the second-fastest century by an India batter in a men's T20I as India blasted their highest-ever score in the format and there were plenty of reactions to the innings.
India blew through the records in the final T20I of the series, hitting their highest-ever score in a T20I and the highest for a full-member nation. Samson was critical, bludgeoning a century off 40 balls, his maiden hundred in the format. India ended the innings on 297-6, with significant contributions from Suryakumar Yadav and Hardik Pandya in addition to Samson.
India's batting unit has threatened to go big for the whole series, hitting 221-9 in the second T20I after they chased 128 in under 12 overs in the first. However, what they were able to pull off in Hyderabad was exceptional, just falling short of 300 - which would have been the second time any side breached the milestone in the men's format.
