India will play a short three-match ODI series in Zimbabwe starting on August 17 — here’s where you can watch ZIM vs IND 2022, including TV and live streaming details.
KL Rahul makes a comeback and will lead the Indian side when they take on Zimbabwe in three ODIs starting August 17 in Harare. The squad does not feature big stars such as Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli, who will be gearing up for the Asia Cup on August 27 in the United Arab Emirates.
India’s side for the Zimbabwe ODIs also marks the return of Deepak Chahar, who had been sidelined due to injury, and missed the 2022 Indian Premier League. Washington Sundar, who was in the side, has been ruled out after suffering a shoulder injury during the Royal London One Day Cup, where he played for Lancashire.
Shikhar Dhawan, who was earlier named the captain for the tour before Rahul was deemed fit to play, is one of the openers alongside Ruturaj Gaikwad and Shubman Gill. Rahul Tripathi has been given his maiden ODI call-up.
Zimbabwe, on the other hand, have named a 17-member squad, which will be led by Regis Chakabva. Chakabva recently led the team to a 2-1 ODI series win against Bangladesh. He stepped in as the captain after an injury to Craig Ervine, who still continues to nurse a hamstring injury.
The hosts will also be without Blessing Muzarabani and Tendai Chatara along with Wellington Masakadza, due to their respective injuries.
