The ODI series will closely follow the two-match Test series, with the one-day matches scheduled to be held in Barbados and Trinidad. Rohit Sharma will captain the side, which includes a mix of senior players and young names.

Among openers, alongside Rohit Sharma is Shubman Gill, currently amid a rich run of form, and Ruturaj Gaikwad. Two wicketkeepers have been named in Ishan Kishan and Sanju Samson, with Hardik Pandya set to do the vice-captaincy duties.

Among spinners, there’s Ravindra Jadeja, Kuldeep Yadav, Yuzvendra Chahal and Axar Patel.

Jaydev Unadkat, who last played an ODI in 2013, has been recalled to the one-day setup. The uncapped Mukesh Kumar is also part of the pace contingent. There is no official word, but Mohammed Shami, who doesn’t find a name in the Test or ODI team, has been seemingly rested.
