Watch: Shai Hope effortlessly whipped a 146.3kph (91mph) delivery from Umran Malik for a maximum in a memorable win for West Indies against India in the second ODI at Barbados.

With Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli not featuring in the XI, India were bowled out for only 181. In reply, the home team got off to a cautious start, scoring 53 for the first wicket in 49 balls before Kyle Mayers and then Brandon King departed in quick succession.

Hope, who walked out at No.4, immediately showed his intent as he dispatched the sixth ball that he faced for a six. The fifth ball of the tenth over of the innings was a shorter delivery pitched on the off-stump by Umran Malik, but Hope briskly lifted his front leg up before shuffling and raising both his feet off the ground to get a hold of it and nonchalantly whipped it over the mid-wicket fence for his first six of the innings.

He went on to hit one more maximum along with two fours in his knock of an unbeaten 63, and along with Keacy Carty (48* in 65) helped his team register their first win against India in the format since December 2019.

Umran bowled only three overs in the match, conceding 27 runs.
