Siraj was on fire at Cape Town, picking up 4-9 in 7.2 overs before completing his five-for three balls later when he dismissed Jansen with an outswinger that took his outside edge. The ball pitched on a full-length and slanted in just outside the off stump. Jansen came forward on his front foot and defended but the ball nicked his outside edge and KL Rahul took an easy catch behind the stumps.

Siraj immediately went up in celebration at getting his five-for, the fourth of his career. Visuals later showed Kohli had signalled to Siraj to bowl an outswinger to target the outside edge before Jansen had faced his first ball. Three balls later, Siraj had his man, bowling exactly as Kohli suggested.

South Africa slipped to 34-6 and were eventually bowled out for 55, with Siraj picking up a six wickets in nine overs.
