India will be led by returning pace spearhead Jasprit Bumrah, who is making a comeback to international cricket after nearly a year-long injury layoff. Along with him, speedster Prasidh Krishna has also returned to the India squad after a long gap due to injury. Krishna has played 14 ODIs so far and was on his way to establishing himself as a first-choice seamer in the ODI XI before injury struck. He is yet to make his T20I debut, however.
The rest of the Indian squad is made up of youngsters who have been rewarded for their exploits in IPL 2023. Rinku Singh, Tilak Varma, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Shivam Dube, and Jitesh Sharma have all made the cut.
Ireland, meanwhile, will be led by veteran batter Paul Stirling, as Fionn Hand and Gareth Delany return to their T20I squad.
