Watch: In an apparent dig at Bangladesh’s perceived time-wasting tactics, Virat Kohli was seen asking Zakir Hasan to take his shirt off, after the batter took some time to tie up his shoelaces and adjust his pads during the Dhaka Test.

On the second day of the second Bangladesh-India Test, Hasan interrupted the proceedings to make some adjustments to his kit, which left Kohli unimpressed. On the stump mic, he could be heard saying: “Zakir, kapde nikal le tu apna” (Zakir, take off your shirt also)”, tugging his own shirt as he gestured at the Bangladesh opener.

The following evening, Kohli was involved in a heated discussion with Bangladesh skipper Shakib Al Hasan, following the India batter’s dismissal in the final stages of the third day.

At the end of Day 3, India needed exactly 100 runs to complete a 2-0 series whitewash. Bangladesh, however, are just six wickets away from what would be their first win against India in their 22-year-long Test career.
