Not long after being stunned by the stunning Litton Das catch that dismissed him, Virat Kohli delivered a spectacular effort of his own, with a one-handed effort seeing off Shakib Al Hasan.
Kohli was left flabbergasted in the first innings of the contest, timing a drive sweetly only to see it intercepted by a flying Litton, who dove full-stretch to pluck a sensational catch. Kohli stood there bemused before leaving the crease, with his dismissal key as Bangladesh bowled India out for 186.
Shakib was the star of the show with the ball, taking five wickets, including that of Kohli. The roles were shuffled in the second innings, with Kohli the fielder to deliver a piece of athletic brilliance, and Shakib the batter bamboozled.
Shakib attempted to take the attack to Washington Sundar and made good contact, but didn’t account for Kohli at extra cover, who leapt and claimed a one-hander. The dismissal left Bangladesh 95-4, still needing 92 to win.
Sometimes, you just can’t keep Virat Kohli out of the game.
