Watch: India wicketkeeper Richa Ghosh pulled off a stunning catch to dismiss Pakistan captain Fatima Sana during the sides' Group A encounter in the Women's T20 World Cup.

Pakistan opted to bat first in the all-important Group A clash in Dubai but never got going. Renuka Singh Thakur struck in the first over for India, removing opener Gull Feroza by knocking her stumps over in trademark fashion.

Regular wickets saw Pakistan slip from 25-1 to 41-4 and then to 52-5, bringing captain Fatima Sana to the crease. She started well, hitting two consecutive boundaries off leg spinner Asha Sobhana Joy in the 14th over. Just when it looked like Pakistan might gain some momentum and get back in the innings, Sana was undone by a piece of brilliance by wicketkeeper Richa Ghosh.

Sobhana flighted the last ball of the over outside off, to which Sana opened her front leg and attempted a wild swipe across the line, getting a top edge that flew past Ghosh's right side. However, she dived, sticking her right hand out and grabbing a sensational reflex catch in the process. Replays suggested that Ghosh had a reaction time of 0.44 seconds between the ball touching the outside edge of Sana's bat and lodging in her gloves.

Pakistan eventually managed 105 runs for eight wickets in their 20 overs with former skipper Nida Dar top-scoring with 28 off 34 balls. At the time of writing, India were 50-1 from 10 overs.
