Following their defeat to West Indies, England failed to qualify for the semi-finals of the 2024 Women's T20 World Cup. Here are the marks out of 10 for the players who took part in the campaign.

Maia Bouchier: 5

107 runs @ 35.7, SR: 117.6

Bouchier had a decent campaign, given the low-scoring nature of the tournament. Her standout performance was the unbeaten 62 against Scotland, but she only managed knocks of 8 (20) and 14 (19) against South Africa and West Indies respectively, and dropped several catches in the decisive final group game.

Danni Wyatt-Hodge: 8

151 runs @ 50.3, SR: 124.8

Wyatt-Hodge was England's leading run-scorer in the tournament, with 40-plus scores in each of her first three games. She only managed 16 against West Indies, but that did come off 12 balls.

Nat Sciver-Brunt: 7

107 runs @ 107.0, SR: 117.6 | 3 wickets @ 35.7, ER: 6.7

Sciver-Brunt emerged from the tournament with undoubted credit in the batting department, with her knocks of 48* and 57* coming against the eventual semi-finalists in South Africa and West Indies respectively.

However, it was against those teams that she came in for some punishment with the ball, conceding at over eight runs an over each time and picking up just one wicket across both games.

Heather Knight: 6

27 runs @ 27.0, SR: 128.6

Knight had a slightly disappointing dismissal against Bangladesh, but evaluating her campaign is difficult apart from that. Her injury against West Indies forced her to retire hurt on 21, adding a stroke of bad luck.

Alice Capsey: 2

29 runs @ 9.7, SR: 82.9

Capsey struggled at No.5 against Bangladesh, but didn't cover herself in glory in her other two games against South Africa and West Indies at No.3 either, scoring 19 & 1.

Amy Jones: 3

19 runs @ 19.0, SR: 82.6

Wicketkeeper Amy Jones also had a quiet tournament. Batting just twice, she managed an unbeaten 12 against Bangladesh and a run-a-ball seven against West Indies. She perhaps could and should have done better in the latter game.

Dani Gibson: 3

14 runs @ 7.0, SR: 77.8 | 1 wicket @ 5.0, ER: 5.0

Dani Gibson was very nearly a passenger in England's campaign. She got to bat just twice – at No.7 and No.8. Both times, she scored seven, making no real impact. She bowled just one over all tournament, but did manage to pick up the wicket of Ailsa Lister against Scotland.

Charlie Dean: 4

4 wickets @ 29.8, ER: 7.4

The first three games of her campaign went well for Charlie Dean, as she registered 2-22, 1-25 and 1-26. But in the final group stage match, she bore the brunt of West Indies' batters, going wicketless and conceding 46 from her four overs.

Sophie Ecclestone: 8

5 wickets @ 14.4, ER: 4.5

Ecclestone lived up to her reputation as one of the world's best in the shortest format. Even in the carnage against West Indies, she emerged with a credible 1-23 in four overs, her most expensive spell of the tournament. For good measure, Ecclestone also chipped in with 15 runs, including a six against Bangladesh.

Sarah Glenn: 5

3 wickets @ 28.0, ER: 6.0

Glenn went more or less along the expected lines, with not much to write home about either way. She was a touch expensive against Scotland but on the whole did what she needed to by keeping the runs down.

Linsey Smith: 6

3 wickets @ 14.3, ER: 5.4

Smith only played the first two games of the tournament, putting in a solid performance against Bangladesh with 2-11 but proving expensive against South Africa. She did pick up the wicket of Tazmin Brits in that match, though.

Lauren Bell: 4

1 wicket @ 38.0, ER: 5.4

Bell came in for England's last two fixtures, against Scotland and West Indies. She finished with a solitary wicket, with not much to say about her campaign overall.

Sophia Dunkley: no points

Dunkley only played against Scotland, and did not bowl or bat.
