The ninth edition of the tournament was scheduled to be held in Bangladesh this year, but had to be shifted to the UAE following the political unrest in the country. This also saw a few tweaks to the original schedule, which can be found here.
The ten teams in the competition have been divided into two groups – Australia, India, New Zealand, Pakistan and Sri Lanka are in Group A with Bangladesh, England, South Africa, West Indies and Scotland in Group B. The tournament opener on October 3 will see 'hosts' Bangladesh take on Scotland, who are playing the Women's T20 World Cup for the very first time.
You can find the full squad lists of all 10 teams, featuring some of the world's biggest stars, as well as a 15-year-old left-arm wrist spinner right here.
There are a total of ten warm-up matches scheduled, all in Dubai across three different venues from September 28 to October 1. Each team will play two warm-up fixtures. A couple of fixtures to watch out for here are Australia v England on September 29, and India v South Africa on October 1.
Apart from these official matches, a couple of teams have organised their own, unofficial practice fixtures. First-timers Scotland took on UAE on September 21, winning by 83 runs before taking on a sterner test against fellow Group B side West Indies, winning once again but this time by just two runs.
