The 2023 Women’s T20 World Cup will begin on February 10 with a total of 23 games being played — here’s the full schedule and fixtures for England in the 2023 T20 WC.
The eighth edition of the Women’s T20 World Cup will be held in South Africa from February 10 to February 26. A total of 10 teams will take part in the event that will commence at Cape Town when the hosts take on Sri Lanka Women in the opener.
England will play the second game of the tournament and are clubbed in Group B alongside India, West Indies, Ireland and Pakistan. They will open their campaign by taking on West Indies at the Boland Park in Paarl on February 11 before taking on Ireland two days later at the same venue.
England will play their next two games at two different venues – their third match of the edition will be against India at St. George’s Park and then they will play Pakistan on February 21 at Cape Town.
The top two teams from each group will qualify for the semifinal, which will be held on February 23 and February 24 at Newlands, Cape Town.
England have recalled veteran Kate Cross for the tournament, The 31-year-old last turned out in the format in December 2019. Alice Capsey has also been selected even as she continues to recover from a collarbone injury that she sustained during her team’s tour of the West Indies in December.
Issy Wong and Dani Gibson are the travelling reserves, with the squad being led by Heather Knight.
