Women's World Cup Qualifier points table

West Indies completed a world record chase to bring the curtains down on an epic Women's World Cup Qualifier event - here is the final WWCQ 2025 points table.

With net run rate in play and Pakistan having already defeated Bangladesh by seven wickets earlier in the day, West Indies needed to chase Thailand's target of 167 in 10.1 overs to supersede Bangladesh and qualify for the World Cup later this year to be hosted by India. They tried their best, but fell agonisingly short, managing to get to 168 in 10.5 overs instead.

In the top-of-the-table clash between Pakistan and Bangladesh, the latter decided to bat first after winning the toss, but lost their openers when the score was only 19. Alarm bells rang when captain Nigar Sultana was dismissed for one as Bangladesh fell to 21-3. Thanks to Ritu Moni and Fahima Khatun's 40s, Bangladesh were able to reach 178 in their 50 overs.

In reply, Pakistan lost their opener Shawaal Zulfiqur for two, but thanks to a match-winning knock from Muneeba Ali (69 off 93), Pakistan won with 10.2 overs and seven wickets to spare. It confirmed Pakistan's position at the top of the table with five wins out of five.

The West Indies heartbreak

In the second game of the day, West Indies took on Thailand, putting them into bat after winning the toss. Thailand were 64-2 when they lost four wickets for 21 runs, with Afy Fletcher being the architect of the downfall, bagging each of them.

A rearguard act by Natthakan Chantam (66 off 98 balls) then took them to 166. West Indies needed to chase the target within 10.1 overs to supersede Bangladesh in the rankings and qualify for the World Cup.

The West Indies opening pair put on 81 runs in 5.3 overs with Hayley Matthews leading the chase. With Qiana Joseph and Chinelle Henry scoring 26 runs from 12 balls and 48 runs from 17 balls, respectively, West Indies' reached agonisingly close but couldn't reach the target in 10.1 overs, taking four more balls instead.
