India U19 fast bowler Rajyavardhan Hangarekar, batting up the order against Ireland, made the most of the opportunity by smacking five sixes during the U19 World Cup fixture between the two sides.

This included a hat-trick of sixes in the very final over bowled by Muzamil Sherzad. With his help, India managed to score 23 off the final over, despite losing Kaushal Tambe off the very first ball, with the total crossing 300 runs.

Earlier, in an interview with ICC, a number of India U19 players including Hangarekar himself, stated that the Maharashtra bowler could hit the biggest sixes in the side. The youngster showed that he could walk the talk by hitting five massive sixes against Ireland.

India was featuring a depleted side after six players were put in isolation, following multiple Covid-19 cases in the camp.

India finished with a comfortable 174-run win.
