The first round of the 2024 T20 World Cup is drawing to a close, with the Super Eight stage set to begin from June 19. Here's all the information on the venues and start timings for the second round of matches.

This year's tournament has caught the eye for its low scores thus far. Coming on the back of a particularly high-scoring IPL season, many viewers have sounded their appreciation for pitches in the USA and West Indies which provide significant help to the bowlers. This edition is also significant as the first T20 World Cup expanded to 20 teams.

The group stage this year has thrown up more than a few shocks so far. Chief amongst them has been the success of the USA team, who have qualified for the Super Eight stage from Group A alongside powerhouses India and ahead of Test-playing nations Pakistan and Ireland. This is no mean feat for the team, competing in their first-ever T20 World Cup.

The likes of Afghanistan, Nepal and Bangladesh as well as Scotland and Netherlands have given admirable accounts of themselves so far. The latter two could yet make it to the Super Eights and increase the number of Associate nations to three. The teams that have qualfied for the Super Eights stage are India, USA, Australia, Afghanistan, West Indies and South Africa. One of England and Scotland (Group B) and one of Bangladesh and Netherlands (Group D) will join them.
