Tanzim Hasan send-off to Kohli

Watch: Bangladesh fast bowler Tanzim Hasan Sakib gave Virat Kohli an angry send-off after bowling him during the India-Bangladesh Super Eights clash at the 2024 T20 World Cup in Antigua.

India were put in to bat by Bangladesh after losing the toss. Rohit Sharma was out slogging Shakib Al Hasan after a quickfire 23 off 11 balls at the start.

Kohli, who made his first double digit score in the tournament in the last match against Afghanistan, looked close to his best as he hit three sixes, two of them coming off spinners.

At 71-1 after eight overs, India looked well set to go big with Kohli batting on 37 off 27 at that point. However, Sakib came back to bowl his second over of the match and dismissed Kohli with the first ball of the over.

Kohli failed to pick the slower off-cutter on middle stump by Sakib as he advanced down the track to go downtown, only to miss it by a fair distance and see his stumps get knocked over.

As Kohli started walking, Sakib looked at his direction in his follow through and screamed in celebration from relatively close proximity. Kohli did not seem to react as he put his head down and walked back.

The next ball was tiop-edged for a six by Suryakumar Yadav, before he too was dismissed, edging a quick short ball through to the wicketkeeper. At the end of 10 overs, India were 83-3.
